My wife and I used the hotel the night before we had to leave Spain to catch our flight home. The hotel was modern, new and close to the airport. Check-in was not a problem. The room was large and the bed comfortable. My only complaint was the bathroom. It has glass enclosures to the toilet and did not allow for much privacy. The neigborhood was upper middle class residential so we were able to have a nice walk. We decided to eat in our room and there is a good supermarket just behind the hotel. We did not go back into the city but we did check out the metro stop which was large clean and modern and it was also located within a couple of hundred yards from the hotel. The airport shuttle was free and the coach was new and clean. If I wanted to be budget oriented I would even think about using the hotel and a place to stay while visiting Madrid. It was a good choice for us.

Room isn't clean. Table is dirty, sticky, discusting. Reception staff abnaxious with no customer service skills and most impostantly with no heart and soul. Restaurant in the hotel can't decide weather they belong to hotel or not. We ask to open a bottle of wine - person at the bar said - for 5 euous. It is politics!. First they said they will also give wine glasses as well, then someone else said no glasses. Reception has zero desire to help or somehow smoothen the situation. To make a longer unpleasant story short - stay away from this hotel. You have plenty of choices - use the other one.

Very strict booking conditions despite indications to the contrary

I booked this hotel 5 months in advance through booking.com - it gave the impression of being flexible on changes to bookings allowing refunds if well in advance. One week later, there was a major change in my plans, so I had to cancel. The hotel refused to give me any refund and kept my money. I can’t say if the hotel is good or bad in itself, but only make a booking if you are 100% sure of being there. Cancelling 16 weeks in advance cost me hundreds and I will never go there again.

Stayed over night for an early flight out. Flew in and called the hotel for the airport shuttle (probably wasn’t necessary to call). It was super easy. Go out the doors from baggage claim, cross the street past the taxis and there is a sign for hotel buses. Bus was there and we hopped on. Seems to go every 1/2 hour. When I checked in a reserved a spot on a morning shuttle. To terminal 4 it leaves every hour on the “30” and other terminals it leaves at the top of each hour. Room was very clean. Bed comfortable. Weird lighting, a bit dark and decor is very Las Vegasy. Also bathroom door is glass and sort of see through. Very nice shower. Had dinner in the restaurant but first walked around. There is nothing better than the hotel restaurant nearby. Several bars and a Chinese restaurant that was pretty empty. We had very low expectations but it was pretty good. I had Bacalo and it was a very nice piece of fish. My husband had a hamburger which he said was fine. Service was great. Breakfast in the morning was an impressive spread. Many choices. Would stay again.

Second time I was there. Room very clean and clear with large window. Bathroom fine. Nice neighborhood, quite and charming. Staff helpful and kind. Bus transportation excellent. I recomend this hotel.
